Noddy and Bigears were very excited because they were leaving Toyland and going for a holiday in Bali!!! Mr Tubby Bear had won 2 tickets but given them to the friends because he was just too fat to fit into an airline seat on Jettoy and too mean to let Mrs Tubby Bear go on her own.
Noddy and Bigears were able to fit within the rules for a Jettoy light fare very easily because as you may have noticed (if you read good literature like me) they only have one set of clothes each anyway.
Anyway I won't bore you with the flight details suffice to say they arrived in Denpasar slightly the worse for wear since Bigears had a large bottle of Bundy hidden in his hat and neither of them was really accustomed to strong drink. Luckily a Gollyporter helped them and they arrived safely at their hotel.
On registration they overheard a conversation and realised the people checking in were the Filos (famous in Toytown for their habit of keeping Teddies in suitcases and locked in hotel rooms) and in fact they could hear muffled cries coming from a suitcase.
Well they had their Toytown honour to think of so they hid in the bushes until they saw the dastardly Filos leave their room and then they hitched a ride on the back of a couple of friendly, if a little smelly, squirrels and made it to the balcony of Jo and Flo's room.
It was as they thought. There were the two sitting on the balcony drinking Bintang and smoking kretek cigarettes. At least that's what they said they were and they did smell a bit funny.
What a night they had!!! Bigears was able to slip the lock of the sliding balcony doors with his credit card and they got straight into the bar fridge and the duty free liquor! Inexplicably they felt extremely hungry and so ordered room service too.
Around five Bigears and Noddy had to leave with promises of a return visit and a midnight skinny dip in the pool later. They hopped on the 2 Ojek Squirrels and sped off for a soiree at S&S on the beach with dinner afterwards at Indonational where the walls gave them inspiration for the cover of their next book "Noddy and Bigears go to Bali".
The Filos were very puzzled on their return to find the room splattered with Teddybear vomit and Jo and Flo out cold on the bed surrounded with those little alfoil pop out bits from Panadol strips.
With thanks to Filo who's intellectual property "bears in Bali" I unashamedly stole and also to Andytoo who pointed out I was being serious so this is as silly as I can get at such short notice and it does seem like a good day to be a bit silly. (IMHO)
