Make sure your room is well sprayed when you first arrive. I don't find the plug ins sufficient really, but any hotels I've stayed in have always had one in the room. Use something like a tropical strength roll on or lotion aeroguard, buy it before you go. It is available in Bali but a hassle to find. I found eating outside in the evening the worse time for mosquitoes, they tend to bite the ankles. Sometimes there will be mosquito coils under the tables that help. But if you are one of those people with blood that mosquitos find tasty, then you need to keep reapplying the tropical strength aeroguard. Loose full cover clothing also helps but its very hard to adhere to that little rule when you're presented with gorgeous hot and balmy weather!
