my boyfriend who is now in Aust. for 3 months. It took 2 weeks after lodging application to get his passport with visa stamp back. Used to take 5 days but they have been very busy so said it can take a minimum of 5 days now and upto a fortnight to be processed.
We paid 1,060,000rp application fee then 1,000,000, fiscal tax 150,000rp dep.tax. Had to have 3 months worth of bank statements from myself along with sponsorship letter stating my level of support to Dewa.
Dewa had to supply letter from employer, bank statement, proof that he would return to Indonesia. We did this by getting letters from his family to state that he was very active in his village life and that he helped support his parents. He also supplied his motorbike papers(proof of ownership). This all seemed to help with application as last time he only had letter from employer plus the relevant documents from me and he was refused.
But who knows what the consulate will accept. I personally think it is just a matter of "yes, I'll give this person visa, no, I won't give this person a visa" because you can speak to ten different people and you will get ten different stories on what they needed and what they didnt. So my advice is give them everything that you can.
Hope this helps
