The normal routine is for a fine young thing (FYT) to pick out a man.(we will name this man "Target" for the sake of this exercise).
She will tell Target how handome and strong he is. Of course Target will forget about his bald head, his beer belly and that other small thing called a wife.
Target will go home and tell his wife that he has fallen in love with Bali and wants to return alone. FYT will be at the airport to collect Target and rush him back to the hotel. By the second day of their second meeting FTY will mention that she needs a new motorbike.
Target is hesitant because he has heard of these types of scams. However "his" FYT is different to all of the other girls knocking around with those other overweight, bald guys.
So he agrees and FYT's brother turns up with the new bike.
(to clarify things we name the brother "husband")
Husband then sells the new motorbike to Target. However it can not be put in Target's name because he is a foreigner.
The only thing to do is to put it in the name of FYT or her brother, Husband.
Target goes back to his country and returns to find that FYT and her brother, Husband are no where to be found.
This of course is a lot easier than being a pickpocket and stealing mobile phones.
It is also a lot more reliable because there is at least one Target coming here on every plane.
