In Singaraja there is a library/museum that houses very old lontars (made out of palm leaf) that has sanskrit writing on them and is a record of Balinese history. The staff have available written instructions on how to decipher sanskrit. Also, in the Bali Aga village, just before you get into Candi Dasa, the villagers give demonstrations on how the writings are applied to the palm leaf. Of course, these are available for sale. You can even commission a personalised calendar.
Cheers.
