You will find most ATM's allow you to take out up to the $1,000aud on a daily basis. The ATM only allows a transaction of 1,500,000 at a time on 100,000idr machines and from 1,000,000 to 1,250,000 on 50,000idr machines. You can withdraw as many times up to the amount of $1000. It is a bit of a pain to do this but keep on withdrawing up to the usual amount allowed in Australia. I travel to Indo every 5 to 6 weeks and always use ATM's. If u use BENDGO Bank your transactions costs are very reasonable.
