To have made it this far is to have beaten the odds.
You know, all you can do is to do what feels right for you, isn't it.
How many people wait all their life to do ' that special thing', then discover it's too late? None of us know what the future holds, which is a good thing...

So why is it only the Australian government who hasn't been able to lift their travel warning? Most other countries have?

I would love to believe that my government does know information, but let's face it, they knew f*ck all before the bombings, didn't they?

I'm not blase about risks, we face them all the time, we were in London, during a smaller spate of bombings.

As an aside, we were in India last December for a month. We actually registered for the first time with Smart Traveller.com. Luckily we couldn't get internet access for the first few days, so we had time to get more comfortable in India, before we started receiving the daily reports that bombings were imminent, particuarly in Mumbai (where we were) and that Australians should reconsider. Almost every day warnings came through that a bomb was just about guaranteed. Nothing happened, and I can't help thinking, it's a little like chinese whispers..
