We have been travelling to Bali for twenty years and have never had trouble with the porters, maybe we are lucky. We use the porters when we come home and when we arrive hubby gets the trolley and then the cases. We have never had them read the tags and call our names. We pay what we think is fair and they have never demanded more. When we came home in September a couple used a porter and then said they couldn't pay him. People need to speak up and tell them at the start what they want and how much they are willing to pay.
