To catch a plane now plus transport works out practically the same price as 'fast boats', you have the Mahi Mahi, Gili Cat, Blue Water, they all cost rp585,000 each way but well worth it, can book at any street stall in bali, they take 2 hours 10 mins. There is the perama ferry (book from perama office in legian street) which off course is much cheaper but takes a good 6 hours from leaving to arrival and therefore you have lost a precious day, hope this helps, these were the prices in August.2008
