We have just had 9 cu/mtrs arrive.. finally!! We have used Balistone and Cathy Sharman 4 times now... other times our stuff has arrived 6/8 weeks this time 6 months....you win some you lose some and we are appreciative of their hard work and efforts all round!!
We paid 330 per cu/mtr
2 seperate orders: 1 @ 3.5 cu/mtr (we spent around $1000 at balistone and the cost to bring it home was 1400 (241.65 was gst & duty)
(Our daughter spent over $2200 at Balistone)
5.5cu/mtrs to bring home 2400 (583.42 was gst & duty)
Of this load one lantern damaged and the ton of pebbles!!!! some had found their way around the container!!!!
Apart from this cost we also had $700 to hire a truck (we live in the sticks!!!) and forklift.
So I reckon that is you are only after a few pieces it may be around the same price IF you find a place that imports a lot and buy on special!!!
For us we are happy to pay a bit extra ( as I believe there are cheaper ways to get your stuff home)
We go on holiday and don't want to spend our time searching and worried that it may not get home!!! Cargo ku (balistone) pack hte stuff very well (except the pebbles!!!) and we like shopping at that particular supplier because they are nice!!!! And Cathy (importing agent) is easy to deal with.
Off now to put some more of Bali around my yard!!!!!
