Hi, I am going to Bali in 7 days and I am a type 1 diabetic. I travelled to the UK last October and found the time difference a bit tricky, but within a day or two it was all fine. I am not worried about Bali as the time difference will not be a problem with my insulin.
One of the only things that might be a help is to pack 2 medicine bags, have them both in you hand luggage for check in, but then put one in your suit case. My neighbour lost their hand luggage in transit. ( the hotel storage room sent them back to the airport !!! ) I know it may sound stupid, but this way you cover yourself if one of your bags gets lost. ( which is very unlikely, but I am not too sure how you would go about getting needles and insulin urgently when you get there )
Also dont forget to tell the airline your diabetic and they can organise a diabetic meal for you.
Have a great time on your hols, I cant wait to go !!
Have Fun!!
