PART TWO.....THE DEWI SRI HOTEL
We arrived at the Dewi Sri in Kuta around 10pm .We have never stayed at a two star before so I was a little concerned with what to expect. Ihad a quick look around reception and the pool area and to be honest my first thought was'the pool is really small' but I didn't let it concern me. We were booked into the family suite, but unfortunately the room wasn't ready so they put us in two separate rooms for the first night. Then we moved into the family suite the next day.

The family rooms are very big and comfortable with a large double bed ,wardrobe ,table tv and fridge in the main room and the other room had two single beds also with a wardrobe ,table,tv and bench. The bathroom was in the second room and we had an extra single ensemble added to each of the rooms ,and we still had plenty of space to move around. Both rooms are separated by a full wall to wall Louvre sliding door,so there are no actual walls to separate both sections. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room.

The breakfast is not a buffet style, they have an egg chef on hand in the mornings and you could order any kind of egg variation ,if you wanted pancakes ,they had to be paid for. Juice ,coffee, tea available as was a limited range of fruit and cereal. Some mornings were busy and there was quite a wait for your order. As we were staying for three weeks we decide to set up a mini kitchen in the room,so we set off to Carrefour one day and bought a small kettle and toaster as well as cereal and bowls for the kids breaky .A carton of bottled water and milk.Everything was so cheap! Now I could have my cuppa in the morning and the kids could choose to eat in or go down for a cooked breakfast.I preferred my hot breaky most mornings!!

I had the pleasure of meeting Leanne the manager of the Dewi Sri. She apologised personally for the hiccup with the room not being available on the first night and went on to say the air con was playing up and needed repairing and thats why it wasn't available. She is Australian and really lovely. The staff are really nice and we had no problems during our stay.

There is a small bar in the lobby area that is open for a drink 24hrs and some music and entertainment a few times a week. There are a couple of tables and chairs set up in the garden areas near the family rooms,we would go down and have a drink and a game of cards of an evening.

Although the pool is small ,it was fine as there was never a heap of people in the pool area at one time.A kiddy pool attached and lots of pool noodles so everyone was catered for and happy.

Dinner and drinks were reasonably priced, much the same as if we went out to eat at an average priced restaurant. We only had dinner a few times at the hotel and nobody had any complaints, except for a cream pasta dish my hubby had didnt smell too good ,we think the bacon was a bit off and he pushed it aside.Apart from that the meals were ok.

Just outside the hotel there is a massage and spa place that does great massages, I took my girls,12,10 and 4 and we all got pampered for a half hour. I think it is called Fit Therapeutic and Putu did my massage on advice from my hubby who had spoken to him earlier and Putu told him he was fully qualified with many years experience and I can now vouch for that! It was bliss! My older daughters went in a separate room and had two ladies do their massage and I took my four yr old in with me.The room was nice with a sweet smell and soft music and a sarong was lay over her tiny body as a young man carefully did a proper therapeutic massage in the most gentle caring way. Showing her the same respect and discretion I was given. They would fold the sarong over to only expose the area being treated, she was almost asleep. When it came time for her to roll over, she declined politely and got a little shy,so he just continued to stroke her till she was almost asleep. I wanted to take a photo, but I thought it might spoil it for her so I didn't.

Before I left from Perth I booked myself an appointment at the Arc Clinic for some Botox, so on the Friday I went along to see the Dr and had my botox jabs to the forehead along with some Esthelis filler to putty up the crease between my eyebrows. Yes, it hurt a liitle and after a total of 10 shots I was happy to pay the $374. The effects were clearly seen on day four or five when the swelling had settled. It didn't interfere with the holiday ,I was told not to go in direct sun or to sweat too much for the first 24hrs. So a sunvisor and a shady spot by the pool was the go.

He recommended a return visit in two weeks to see how successful the botox was,so I did that and he thought a top up was needed of the Esthelis. He also told me that he had used the maximum amount of both treatments that could be safely used. I was happy with the service and the results .The doctor was nice and I wasn't charged for the second consult or top up. It's been 5 weeks and it still looks good, there are still a couple of faint creases there, but I don't want a plastic looking forehead and next time we go to Bali I definitely will visit the Arc Clinic.

sorry if my jbr's are long winded, but I find it hard to not put in all the details! There is still plenty more to come!
