I can tell you from experience re luggage. I would not bother because:
Inbound to Bali: containers come off the Aircraft and straight to the xray machine then on a very short belt (10m) and into the collection area open to the public.
Outbound from bali: Checkin- luggage goes into the "hole in the wall". Immediately THE WHOLE CONVEYER BELT IS COVERED BY A CONCAVE PERSPEX CLEAR COVER WITH NO GAPS UNTIL IT REACHES THE OUTBOUND XRAY MACHINE!! And there are security cameras everywhere, right throughout the Airport baggage handling area.
How do I know this you say? I was taken on a tour by one of the Airline Airport Managers when I worked for an Airline and saw it all myself.
