I love Bali and its people and it amazes me that so many tourist try to bargain down to the last 5000rp.Which is nothing to us but could be the difference to a meal or not to a seller.
If I am offered a fair price I have no hesitation in paying it, it is only when I am given an exorbitant amount that I will bargain. As I have been at least 20 times most of the sellers in Sanur markets know me so don't really try with the high prices. We both know what is fair and that suits us.
My friend works in a hotel earning 600000rp per month and he supports his wife two children, his mother and father and his older sister(she is not married). And yet when we visit Bali he always takes us to his home for a meal and nothing is too much trouble for him and his family. To us they are our family and vice a versa.
My son and I are back to Bali in August for at least two months maybe more. Cannot wait
