Fate certainly plays a big part is these things, and I think that was the point being made.
When you hear stories of survival, or otherwise, during tragedies like 9/11 and Bali 2002, you realise that luck plays a big part.
Where one was sitting, if one goes to the toilet at the right/wrong time, if one cancels at the last minute for some reason etc. etc.
Certainly we make decisions that we believe best protects ourselves, and that also plays a large part, but fate and luck also have a big part to play.
Not Rubbish, and certainly not 3X Rubbish.
