I too get really excited about some handbag shopping. After a months holidays last year and looking about all over the place, I found myself in a handbag shop in Sanur one day umming and arring about a few bags. Then, another Aussie lady came in and enquired about the price of one of these bags. She then replied "I wouldnt pay $100 for a vinyl bag in Aus, why would I pay it here!"
That did it for me. She was right. We probably are paying way too much for these bags. I ended up paying rp70,000 for a lined, medium size cane basket with leather trim, which I use every day, and is still going strong after 12 months. Some have luck with these copy bags and some do not. But, if you really want it....just use your common sense on zips and finish, (as the others say). Have fun.
