left sydney on the 4/6 flying jetstar must admit i like the late dep time as i live 3hrs from airport so not to much of a morning rush to airport.flight was late arriving but didn,t worry me to much as i was on holiday got through customs, out the front of the airport trying to find my name amongst all the others i decided rather than look for my name i;ll just call it out loud and within 10 secs there was a smiling made with my name so very quickly and befor i knew it i was on my way to the sanur beach vilas.even though the plane was late there was the ever patient ron waiting for me at around 1am .i first read about ron and the sanur beach vilas via this forum and i must admit i have never stayed at a more relaxed and layed back eastablishment anywhare.one thing i remember most is that no one ever asks what time it is but rather what day it is and befor i knew it my days were up.i think ron should be congragulated for his lack of paperwork which has resaulted in the saving of many[who knows] how many trees there is an honesty system with regards to the bintang which goes like this-buy a crate from the bali senia[g,day pete]for rp175000.00 which will be delivered by manwell on his moter bike directly to rons esky and when you think you have finnished your crate you just buy another one.i often walked along the the beach front at sanur with all the big hotels and restaurants watching all the paperwork going from one person to the next with all the tax and surcharge involved and think how lucky i was to be staying at rons [sanur beach vilas] and drinking at petes bali senia.now thats enough B/S for now.-ron and pete you both owe me a beer on my next visit.
i normally fly garuda but last october i managed to book a bloody cheap airfare $aud 567.00 ret syd dps so i thought bugger it got my credit card out and booked,then i thought thailand would be nice too so i combined with airasia and had 10days in thailand as well the airasia to bkk went dps to jakarta to bkk then bkk to kuala lumper- bali funny what you do late at night when theres nothing on tv and reading the btf so this is how i ended up-dep syd4/6 ret 20/6 jetstar dep bali 8/6 bangkok ret 18/6 dps last 2 days in bali befor ret home.stayed both times in bali at sanur beach villas,i have previously stayed at the griya santrian and the gazebo in sanur also the pelangi bali holiday resort in seminyak this was the first time i stayed at the southern end of sanur and i must admit i found it very quiet and relaxing.
