3rd dayin Candi Dasa, 1st ate and drank at our accomm. That lasted till dinner time and off we went to Vincents Restaurant, i have been before and the food and service was excellent, the prices were pretty reasonable.
Over the road to Legends bar, just near the end of the CD road at the bend. Live music by a local band, they were OK. Met up with a Kiwi couple and stayed till stumps.
Walking back to accomm and a group of local guys were drinking outside a closed restaurant - you want drink? what are you drinking says i, rak says they. Yep.
3 hours later we got ridden home. The custom there was you are sitting around a table and a small shot cup is put in front of you and you need to drink it fair soon as you get told, then the cup goes around the circle getting refilled.
The guys had to head off a couple of times to get another plastic bag of arak. It gets poured into a water bottle and away you go. Tasted pretty good.
Next day we were both pretty stunned but not to bag.
At 4pm the boys were picking us up to take us back to their place for a meal. They cooked up chicken curry and rice, as we were guest and westerners probably, we got a bowl and spoon, they hooked in Bali style and ate with there hands.
Rode to Amlapura to ATM and went down to the local beach, more beautiful couuntryside.
Quiet night, t at Puri PAndan restaurant on the beach. I had grilled squid, and that is all that came out, no rice salad or anything. Was supposed to be a main meal.
Today heading off on the bikes exploring again. Today is a bit cloudy and yesterday was beautiful and sunny.
