You can go to the tree tops adventure. Many stages for all age groups and might mention bit scary with hieghts, but you are secured.
The botanical gardens are a peacefull wonder.
The ghost palace just this side is worth a look.
The markets just past that lake is cool, go to Crackers Bar and Grill, check out the loo's...unbelievable.
About half hour past the lake is Gitgit waterfall and that is amazing, bloody cold water, but fresh and clean.
If you get that far, keep going and see the beach up that end .....very different. Follow the beach alone to your right, about half hour and head inland to the hot water springs, very refreshing.
All this time you will see a bit of local activity and their homes, school, shops etc. Singaraja also, but not much there that we have found. Been there done that.
ALL drivers know exactly where all these places are.
