Bali Adventure Tours (BAT) were the best WWR I have done (www.baliadventuretours.com). They had better equipment, funnier guides, and better instructions than Sobek rafting. I went on the Ayung River, but the Telaga Waja River has more higher level rapids. I plan to try the Telaga Waja next time. (BAT don't do this river unfortunately). (Telaga Waja Adventures www.telagawajaadventures.com or Bali View Rafting Ph 281 443 (from Bali))

You can also do white water kayaking through BAT (which I'd also love to try) or go in small single person rafts down a stream with Bali Canyon Tubing (www.balicanyontubing.com).

Rough prices for these activites are around US$50-70, but you can often combine it with elephant rides, bike tours, buggy/quad bike rides (www.balibuggy.com), and save a bit of money. BAT also combine their tours. Most of the larger companies include insurance, transfers, equipment and buffet lunch. They also give you waterproof bags to put your wallet, camera, phone etc etc in.

I've booked by getting my driver to ring up the company and directly book us in. The hotel could likely do this for you also. or you could use one of the street agents, but ring up to double check that it's been booked.

Feel free to email me if you have more Qs.
Enjoy!
