so no surprise you have to fly frequently to benefit. However when you do the points accumulate well and it is easier to get award flights than on Qantas as any seat available on any flight can be used. However the points needed to claim a flight varies a lot from route to route and is more dependent on demand for that route rather than distance eg Denpasar-Darwin needs less points than Denpasar-Jakarta even though an hour longer flight. I am very happy with the scheme but for infrequent flyers it won't be a great help.
