Have had xmas and NY in Bali. We stay at budget hotels, so no compulsory meals, tho in earlier days we did and paid $150.00 per head for xmas dinner and $150.00 for NY eve and dinner.( old Intan) $900.00 for 3 of us.
Bali Rock did a xmas dinner last year. Also the Garden View do a huge meal. Look around and book at a venue you like. Santa seems to visit all of them. Black Santas with painted white faces. Hillarious. Ny just goes right off. The noise and the party's go all night everywhere. Yes the traffic gets thick, tho NY eve they close a lot of the roads because of street party's.
A lot of older Balinese didn't record birth dates years gone. So if someone doesn't know exact date of birth, they celebrate on NY eve as their date. So, many party's happening.
