I liked the Javanese people i met, Borobodur Temple, seeing the Ramayana dance at Prambanan Temple one night, going by motorbike to Mt Merapi national park, the ceremonies at the Sultan's palace in Yogyakarta, the humour of the puppeteers when we saw Ramayana shadow puppet shows, walking across the crater of Mt Bromo an active volcano. The Mount Bromo region has the most beautiful rice terraces i've ever seen.
