Saw my daughter Chloe(11) and my niece Rachel(12)off at Perth airport yesterday. They were flying unaccompanied with Qantas to meet their Nanna & Pop in Bali. (Hilary and Brian from the BTF).

Can't speak highly enough of the Qantas service - my sister-in-law and I were understandably nervous sending them off by themselves (although we had the big brave - no problems - face on for the girls) but we were more than happy with the Qantas staff.

We dropped them off to a Qantas staff member (who had their boarding passes) 1 hour before the flight and saw them off through the Immigration doorway. The customer service officer stayed with them until handing them over to a cabin crew member, who in turn handed them over to a staff member at Bali airport. They were taken into the "small room" at Bali airport to do their VOA etc. I had told them this would happen, however they were a little nervous while waiting there for their passports to be returned. Then they collected their bags and were taken outside to Nanna and Pop. All very seamless.

They arrived at Kumala Pantai - block SG just after 6pm. when I spoke to Chloe they were just eating chocolate biscuits (thanks Nanna and Pop) before heading off for an evening swim.

Anyone staying at Kumala Pantai - if you see the girls please say hello and that you read about them on the forum. It will give them a real buzz. Especially Chloe as she loves the forum and usually posts a JBR when we travel to Bali.
