what the locals call Masuk Angin (enter the wind) translated as kinda of a "chill" were you get very severe stomach cramps, and basically everything you described. Usually antibiotics fix the problem, and the cramps however will still last a couple of days but usually dissapear in the end. Its always encourged by locals to either fart or burp as much as you can, to get the wind out.
I have never found anyone though who can give an exact translation of it in English.
