If Im not wrong, anything after 1996 is fine.

As for $20 or $50 dollar notes, you will get a lower exchange rate for these, they prefer the 100 Dollar notes.

Notes must be crisp and not crinkled in any way. They will not accept any notes with a stamp mark or any other markings on them (pen, dirt etc etc) some still accept these, however they will exchange them at a lower rate.

The serial numbers are important also. Dont bother bringing anything with CB they wont be accepted (lots of fake CB notes a few years ago) its best to have serial numbers starting with F, H, D, E etc...

I exchanged 1000USD on Monday and got around 9.3million rupiah give or take some change.
