been twice and it was magical. First trip was a package deal, picked up by a bus in Kuta about 10.30 am. and arrived midnight at Bromo Hotel and left about lunch time the next day. The thing was the trip was very tiring and the sulphur was blowing the wrong way and a lot found it difficult to reach the top. We still loved it and made up our minds to return which we did for a week. The second time we stayed at Cemara Indah Hotel, was great as you could sit outside and watch Bromo smoking. Did have a few problems at the Hotel like they ran out of water as it was trucked in, food was great and they had the best chicken toasted sandwiches we have ever tasted, beautiful people in the village. Just remember take warm clothing as it gets very cold up there.
