We arrived in Bali on 24th May from Port Hedland in about 2 hours and flew through customs as we were the only plane in. Headed straight off to the Melasti Resort and unloaded luggage and hit the pool bar for some Bintang and more. We had a group of 40 of us for my neices 21st Birhday which we were going to have at Billys but decided it was too small. We had the party at the Melasti and I must say that they did a wonderful job we were really impressed. The Manager got a trio playing music, put all decorations up, gave my neice a chair which looked like a throne well she was the queen for the night. The food was really good at 100,000 per head for pork, beef, fish vegies salads etc and they also organised a cake. I would definately have another party at the Melasti. We all headed off to Paddys after midnight so the next day was a bit slow to begin with. As for the Melasti we had no complaints at all and am looking foward to our next trip in Feb. I did all the usual shopping mainly at Ketuts and Diannes as I find it so much easier with the fixed price. Ketut sent a bunch of flowers to the Hotel for my neice and she hadnt met her before she is a really nice lady. We went to the Safari Park and had a great day out it is worth going to see. The rest of the holiday was the usual shop eat drink sleep. Spent a lot of time down Rudi and Safaris beach eski outside Jayakarta. We have known these guys for a few years and they are great .After the first week most went home so it was down to 9 of us. I took 2 suitcases of clothes over and gave one to a friend and one to the cleaner at the Hotel Doni what a great guy. Our rooms were allways spotless and if you wanted any extra paper water etc nothing was too much trouble he couldnt wipe the smile off his face when he saw the clothes which were mens some brand new. I had to pay excess on the way home as I was 18kg over and I always say I am not shopping this time ha ha. We went to Sita Fashions in Legian street wow what a great shop we bought paintings and outside geckos frogs etc will be going back next time for sure. Well thats it folks Karen
