depends on where you are staying as to the cost of drinks, but yeh is usually cheaper to buy duty free going over and use that. some hotels do not like it and the drinks are usually reasonable. soft drinks can be sourced from supermarkets etc (circle k). Most hotels do a happy hour in the afternoon anyway
