I have done quite a few tranfers to Bali in the past, some of which have been done at the Commonwealth Bank, although we have never lost money in doing it this way...The correct funds were recieved via the Bali Bank Account which we sent funds to. We just had to pay a fee of $22.00. - $25.00. to make the transfer.

As mentioned, if you do Netbanking go to the International Transfers icon and you can recieve a list of countries that the bank accepts doing International Transfers to, then you can do it easily at home. Although I have never had any dramas with loss of money via International transfer at the bank...it's just the fee's that are annoying if you plan on doing quite a few seperate transfers

If the money is to a personal friend then just state on your transfer form the reason for sending money is a gift. If it's to a company for goods then you can state that its for furnishings etc.
