HI guys we have been back a few days now and ill start jbr this am.It will be in pieces as thoughts come to mind.Being from the sunshine coast we had a few options getting to denpasar and dedided to fly from Maroochydore Airport (Sunshine Coast)to Sydney the day before and we caught Garuda flight at 10:00am the following day.Stayed at the Inner Sydney Motor Inn just near the airport(next to Mecure) for $118.00 per night.Small room but who cares. We were picked up from airport and taken to hotel for free and transport back to airport the following day was $5.00 each.We ate dinner at the St.Georges Rowing Club which was a 5 min walk from in.Great club, right on the river, good bar, restaurant, tab, pokies etc.We had the roast pork dinner for $7.50 each(small one)it was so much we ate about half of each one.Had McDonalds at airport for breakfast and plane left on time but we were 20 min late as we were in a que to take off from sydney.Flight was uneventful, bantangs flowed, flight attendants smiled and nothing was to much trouble.Off to prepaid taxi stand and the fare to Legian is still 50,000rp.Got porters to help with luggage from taxi stand to taxi which was around 50 mtrs away in car park.Tipped x2 porters 10,000rp each and they were very thankful.Off to the MBR and as requested we stayed in a ground floor old style cottage suite which is huge(69sqm)your average Aussie 3brm home is around 180sqm.TIP(when things pop into my mind that will be a tip ill just write them before i forget to give a little tip.We bought brand new black suitcases and guess what?Everybody else on the plane had black suitcases,we finally got ours in the end.We noticed a lot of bags had bright coloured ribbons tied on bags.I cut a Bintang Supermarket bag in half and tied one half to each of our black suitcases, sure made life easier picking them up in Sydney.TIP if you are going to buy new suitcases buy yellow ones. Our first stop was Legian Snacks for a quick lunch and Julie swore that she would not eat any indo or spicy food for fear of the trots.J had a club samwich and I had spring rolls and cap chay, very good and really inexpensive, back to MBR and i had the trots right away,J just laughed, but it was over and done with in a few minutes and everything was fine.Off to Yutzs for dinner,as mentioned many times before probably the best steaks in bali @65,000rp a bargain. We went back to MBR for a few duty free drinks and off to sleep.I'll continue as time allows.Just for you southerners its 25c here today and the beach was great but got to go to work tomorrow, cheers norm and julie
