I think that The Bali Garden Hotel will cater to your needs. Its in Tuban/Kuta, it IS beachfront, comfortable, and is located next door to The Kartika Discovery Mall.
You are amougst all shopping and night life. Across the road to your left is The Stadium Bar, big screens with favourite sports constantly on. There are bands at locations in your street such as at the Stadium Bar or Gracie Kelly's Irish Pub and also some restaurants nearby have live entertainment. There is a night club 2 doors up from you. Or a short cheap taxi ride will take you to the many nightclubs at legian.
It's reasonably priced too, so may be the go.
