reason I ask is that you say "Hep A is usually not recommended for children"? Why do you say this? And then, why do doctors recommend it to children who are travelling to certain overseas destinations such as Bali? My children have had Hep A, and I guess the benefit of them having it is that it lasts for a long time, and in this day and age even in our own coutry it can't be a bad thing to have them protected with a Hep A vaccination....Can it?

I'd rather be safe than sorry.

There is also different conflict with the typhoid scenario too, and as some may suggest it can only be contracted in remote area's but others may beg to differ in that opinion.

Also what about poor hygeine and food handling..what are the risks there?

Just testing your doctor skills :) As since your giving medical advice it would be good for you to give evidence to back up your advice.
