one simply cannot tell which establishment may have bedbugs and which may not. A grotty environment would encourage the little mites. If someone used the room prior to your use, with clothes & luggage containing the little pests, then you are likely to be bitten. If you are really worried, lift up the bedclothes & examine the seams of the mattress with a torch & have a look behind the bedhead & the pictures. Good luck (& don't let the bedbugs bite!:))
