and was tremendously impressed with the vastly improved standard of food there since my previous visit. Some complain about the Rp.20,000 cover charge but they are doing a great job in providing an opportunity for up-and-coming local artists to find a "gig" which pays money.
We both had the Lamb Ragout Tartlets - brilliant flavour with wafer-thin short crust pastry that just melted in the mouth for starters. Mains of Stroganoff and Chili Con Carne were very good but the "piece de resistance" came with Desserts - richest (obviously using real quality) Dark Chocolate Mousse and Passionfruit Creme Brulee. Prices were very moderate for such good food.
I was so impressed that I not only complimented the Kitchen Brigade on the night but sent an email today following my return to North Sulawesi telling them that as Chairman of North Sulawesi Tourism Organisation I only wish that here in Manado we had an establishment which came even close to what was received there.
