Its all well and good to "bargain them down", but consider this, in the last month on Bali, Rice has gone up by 27% and petrol by 30% in one hit. Now if this happened in Oz in the same manner it happened on Bali, there would be a hell of an outcry! So maybe we should be a little more cognisant of just what their living costs are by comparison to ours. We couldn't get in Oz what we get on Bali for comparable prices. So barter with them - of course, its expected, but please consider that they are doing a lot tougher than we ever will.
