the difference between the cost of the cancelled Jetstar fares and what you have to pay for replacement flights to KL to continue your holiday as booked
I worked for many years until last August in retail travel and last year alone we organised successful travel insurance claims for 2 sets of clients affected when Gulf Air pulled out of operating to Australia who were travelling to Europe - 1 for 3 people business class - and 1 for 2 in first - they both had to rebook on Emirates at a higher fare and received the difference back from the insurance company
It will OF COURSE depend on the cover you have and the small print will need to be checked carefully
Also I'm afraid this situation of a company making a grand announcement and leaving the poor idiots at the coal face of reservations with no immediate defined policy of rebooking/refund etc to advise understandably distressed callers is nothing new - it is not good - but it has certainly happened before
Good Luck
