rates not as good but I have always found the higher the offered rate the more chance of being ripped off. Sorry dont know of a chager near poppies two only around seminyak. Dont go down a back alley or dark shop to change money, there are plenty of money changers take your time and choose one you feel safe in, try to take a second person in to watch the money being counted and dont be distracted by movement or noise behind you. Once a second person in the money changers knocked over a small metal sign behind me which caused me to look around and take my eye off the money being counted, I simply hung on to my Aust $ and walked out the shop like I said heaps of honest changers.
