I have used global roaming with vodafone for the last 3 years.
It is only available if you are on a plan, it won't work with pre paid.
Just make sure you turn your message bank off because if any one calls you pay the cost not the caller.
I mainly use it for sms and calling the kids and hubby when I leave them back here.
