shops will be open, you don't leave the airport you are a transit passenger, follow the transit signs. There is a smoking room in the international terminal. Find the train inside the terminal the smoking room is near the the train stop (the train takes you from one terminal to another) There are signs for you to follow but with only 2 hours make sure you find your departure gate first, check the board as it can change from one to another.
KL is a nice airport:)
