Yeh, Bintang is near a few warung and that's about it so you would need a taxi to get a good feed. I would be trying Santosa (ex Intan) but unlikely you will get a room facing right on beach but great location, nice staff and huge pool with swim-up bar and you couldn't get a better location for eating and drinkin' just outside the gate. The other would be Senggigi Beach Resort which is next best most central and rooms facing beach would be cheaper nowadays than Santosa.
For Gili T I would be decamping to Beach House.
As you plan on August I would be getting my skates on and booking as last 2 years both Lombok and Gili T has been full up and the wine ran out.
