I have had asthma off and on since I was 12 months old. My Respiratory Specialist advised me to start taking my preventer one week prior to departure, and for the duration of the holiday and continue for week after being home. He said that this would help prevent me from picking up any bugs whilst on the plane and in Bali. I have done this now for about the last 5 trips and never had any problems whilst my husband and some other friends with us have come home with really bad flu's or colds of some sort. Check with your doctor first. Have a great trip.
