The ANZ card number in Indonesia is 021 5721900 - it is a Jakarta number - if you are in Bali just ring this number as is.
Numbers with 0 in front and followed by 1 and or 8 in Indonesia are mobiles but the one you have given doesn't really have enough numbers.
Normally the credit card folk are happy enough to know the right person is using the card...more recently though I have received checks by card services to verify transactions for past 1-2 weeks.
Your wife should ring back Oz ANZ to confirm this is usual practice on the number given by "clovis".
