i personally (as do our friends we travel with) ,like to stay in sanur for 4-6 days first up and then to tuban for another 10-15 days depending how long i have off.
i find the tuban area (off kartika plaza),much better than legian as it is not as bustling and the shop vendors more polite and not as desperate.
The majority of the eating places are of better quality i have found also.
This will disagree with a lot of forumites i know.
Each to their own i guess!
My personal opinion is that the legian restaraunts that we have tried after recommendations were very dissapointing.
