We stayed at the Conrad for 3 nights in the middle of our 3 week stay and had a Ocean Suite (which automatically gave us access to the Club Rooms).
Wow, what a 3 days!!! The 'Club' food, which was 7.00am to 11.00am breakfast and they cooked anything you want, 2.30pm-3.30pm afternoon tea with coffee and cakes and then at 5.30pm to 7.30pm it was pre-dinner drinks and nibbles (we never ended up having dinner as the drinks and nibbles were plenty), latte's and cappucinno's during the day, internet access all day. We were surprised at what you got for the money. Even the 5 glasses of champagne I had most nights during our pre-dinner drinks made the $ extra we paid to stay in the Ocean Suite worthwhile. You can actually purchase Club Acces for $30 per room even if you stay in a standard room.
Staff were absolutley FANTASTIC and nothing was too much trouble.
General prices of the food and drinks are VERY expensive at the Conrad but there are plenty of cheaper places to eat within walking distance/short taxi ride away.
Would I stay there again ....... in a heartbeat (assuming I have saved up enough money!!). So if it is luxury you are after and cost isnt really an issue - I would definaltey recommend staying at the Conrad!!!
