I have stayed at the bali holiday resort and the jayakarta, and stay at the jayakarta on every trip which is a few also. You say the pool is not large enough? Well how big do you need a pool to be i think the jayakarta pool is huge not to mention it has 3 of them last l remember the bali holiday only had one!
if you call a 10 foot pathway a road thats funny but l considered it a walkway nothing more and the beach couldn't be closer.
I have always found staff extremly nice at the jayakarta and as for being cramped there was only ever about a dozen people in the pool at any one time, yes you are right the bali holiday is run down and the hawkers are right up your nose there . Anyhow each to there own l love the jayakarta has all l need great loacation and perfect for myself and family l would never stay at the Bali holiday again.
