Remember Perth is also known as Dullsville. Hate to say it but you are best to get a shuttle to the international airport - Taxis are currently on strike, but even when they aren't there's not much improvement in service.
Bars at that time of morning could be marginal. The main bar next to the food outlets appears to open whenever it wants to not necessarily when you want it to. Dome coffee shop is usually the only guaranteed open outlet maybe as I think it's the only one not run by Spotless.
If you go upstairs in the hope for a drink be careful. They only sell bottled beer or Jacobs Creek wines. Allow for a lot of time to be served - the staff cant do two things at once and if you are lucky enough to have 2 staff on they will possibly help each other, i.e. one will hold a sandwich while the other cuts it.

Don't get me wrong - Perth airport is a great 80's airport. Just a shame we are now in 2008
