it is worth keeping in mind that some people there live in quite small homes/rooms. I know I have visited friends' places and have seen various bits and pieces of stuff that regular tourists ask them to keep, and it really clutters up the place. Beach chairs, bags of clothes, shoes, toiletries, body boards, dvd players in boxes etc - and because of the frienships these people do not like to say no. Just something to think about, and if you really need to have something kept for you, make sure it is essential and not just stuff that might be handy or saves you a quick trip to the shop. I have also seen guys from the beach bars lugging home some tourist's beach chair only to have to bring it back each day so said tourist can be comfy, also body boards same deal, once again the guys too polite to refuse in case customer goes elsewhere.
