we saved $1800 by flying Jetstar late last year & it actually worked out OK, the youngest 2 kiddies (18mths & a newborn) slept on plane & fell back to sleep after being ushered through a back exit from Customs as we had kids in our arms, then straight to accom & a small drink then both back to sleep...
The older child was fine too...
