Scattered thunderstorms?

If you look at any weather page for Denpasar, all it ever says is "scattered thunderstorms"
As we leave next Friday for 2 weeks, my question is, how accurate is this forecast, and is it raining all day , or just afternoon, and do I need a brolly and gumboots?
